haha good news everbody! my duck has had ducklings!! ok, a few weeks ago, Uuger the duck and Houdinni the drake (i think thats what the boys are called?) had eggs! and two days ago, 6 hatched! unfortunatly, 1 was taken by jackdaws, but the others are fine. theyre so cute! it was sad though, cos we had another adult girl, but she got killed about 2 weeks before the hatching now, roughly 2 weeks ago, mummy duck knocked an egg out of the nest, and i couldnt just let it die, so i looked up looking after an egg without an incubator, and came across one solution, my own body heat. and, being a girl, theres a handy item of clothing that, amongst other things, girls could use to hold phones, money, makeup etc, so i figured, why not a duck egg? and so i kept it there until 1 day ago. id thought itd died, but i held on just in case, and day before yesterday, it broke the membrane, and started chirping! and now, its in a box of hay, and it just started to hatch hopefully it has formed properly, because, not being a duck, im not really an expert at duck hatching

also, yesterday, there was a duck that was late hatching, and unfortunatly, i screwed everything up... i had to make sure it bonded with its mum or dad, so i took it over to them, but, being scared of me, they ran off, and the dad trod on the egg, damamging the shell badly, and tearing one of the ducks external veins (they run along the inside of the shell, and if a human helps them hatch, they can easily tear, and kill the duck) so, i tried getting it to hatch and bond with a chicken, but the chicken pecked him very badly (and consequently got thrown across the pen) so i didnt know what to do. however, by this time, the duck was almost out the shell, and was born in my hands. it was very weak, so i put it back in the nest, caught the mum, and put her there two, but she ignored it, and it was too weak to follow her. i left him there overnight, but mummy stil wouldnt take him, and he couldnt walk. so. big problem, what do i do? in the end, i took him into the house, and am looking after him myself, and put him with the ducky that i looked after, so that when it hatches, they can be friends. the duck still cant walk yet, but its grown a lot stronger, and has swum for a little bit, which is very good. also, its starting to bond with me, which is adorable ive decided to call him JoJo. he sleep ALOT and keeps sleeping while swimming, and consequently sinking....

prom --- uhh...you lot were right..id regret not dancing....i didnt dance AT ALL, and i think i wouldve enjoyed myself more if i had done, but ah well, im sure ill live! there was an after party, but i didnt go, cos drinking till you puke isnt really my thing...well, drinking any alcohol isnt my thing lol, especially not till i puke
